Illini Statesmen

Prairie Blend has been singing together for just two years, but in total they have over 70 years as members of the Society.

Their lead, Dennis Mulvany, delivers a smooth tone to both highs and lows of the melody. Denny has been a member of several quartets, including Square One and C-U Swing.

Their bass, Vern Knapp, needs no introduction in the Illinois District, as he's been the solid foundation of three Illinois District Quartet Champs over the past 30 plus years.

Hugo Feugen is the quartet's soaring tenor, responsible for making songbirds quit their jobs, so far with limited success. He's also a previous member of the C-U Swing quartet with Denny.

Their baritone, Kevin Swartz, loves the chance to fill in the missing harmony, having sung lead over the years for the Illini Statesmen and the quartet, Timepiece. Enjoy Prairie Blend!
